The Tax Commissioners Office handles all tax matters, including vehicle tag, title and registration fees, state and county property taxes, timber taxes and mobile home taxes.

Vehicle Registration

Collects tag and registration fees.  Registers out of state vehicles and changes titles.  Any Georgia county stickers can be changed to Screven's at no charge when you relocate.

Timber Tax

This tax is paid when the timber is cut, within seven days if paid in full and within 45 days if it is an owner harvest or the owner is paid quarterly.

Mobile Home Tax

If the mobile home is on rented land, the tax is due on May 1.  If the mobile home land is self-owned, then it is considered property tax and is due on December 20.

Property Tax

Tax is due December 20 and includes County, State and School taxes.
