| The Tax
Assessor’s Office values real and personal property in the county.
Personal property does not include livestock and farm equipment on family farms. All property owners that reside on their property qualify for Homestead Exemption of $2000.00. Persons over 65 that reside on their property, whose income does not exceed $10,000, not counting Social Security and retirement, qualify for Homestead Exemption of $4000.00. Persons over 65 that reside on their property, whose total income does not exceed $10,000 qualify for Homestead Exemption of $8000.00. |
