The Sylvania Junior Woman's Club was chartered in November 1968 and the first meeting was held

on November 14, 1968.

The Objectives are services to the community

by providing education, civic, and cultural activities

and fellowship of the members.

The Sylvania Junior Woman's Club is a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs

and the

GFWC/Georgia Federation of Women's Clubs.

Public Affairs

The major projects are:

• Miss Screven County Livestock Festival Queen Pageant

• Sampler Arts and Crafts Festival - 3rd Saturday in September -

  Saturday, September 19, 2009

  • 2009 Sampler Applications will be available in Summer 2009

• Grandparents Day at Syl-View

• "Thanksgiving Dinner" for the Elderly Abused and Disabled

• Soup Kitchen.
