Registration
New county residents can register to vote. A voter needs to be registered at least 30
days before an election.

|
Updating
Voter Registration
If a voter moves, or does not vote for three
years, he or she needs to update their registration.

|
Absentee
Ballots
To
vote as an absentee, a voter need to file an application.
The office checks to determine if the person is registered.
There is no signature on the ballot, so it is a secret ballot. This can be done from thirty days to the day before the election. The chief registrar can take an absentee to
the hospital if necessary.
