| Are you OK? Program |
| The Sheriff's Office is currently implementing a system to check on elderly citizens in the county. The automated dialing system, dubbed the "Are you OK?" program, will enable elderly citizens to alert us at the touch of a button if anything is amiss. If alerted, a deputy will be sent to check on the citizen to ensure that nothing is wrong. This will make it possible for shut-ins and ill citizens to receive adequate emergency care. A database of names is currently being gathered, and the program will be in full use soon. |
